PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesion to a rubber free from Co salt without deterioration of productivity or wire drawability, and also prevent degradation of adhesive strength with time.SOLUTION: A plated steel wire has a ternary alloy plating layer that is on a steel wire and contains alloy plating of at least one element selected from the element group consisting of Fe, Co, Cr, Nb, V and Mo, Zn, and Cu.
