PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow traffic lane assisting control to be executed with a margin.SOLUTION: In a case where a target around the own vehicle (peripheral target) is a target at a high relative speed, the drive assisting ECU 10 determines whether or not it is situation for prohibiting traffic lane assisting control, using a relative speed included in target information detected by a periphery radar sensor 16a. Conversely, in a case where the peripheral target is a target at a low relative speed, the drive assisting ECU 10 determines whether not it is the situation for prohibiting the traffic lane assisting control using a position (distance) of the target included in the target information, without using the relative speed included in the target information detected by the periphery radar sensor 16a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】余裕をもって車線支援制御を実行できるようにする。【解決手段】運転支援ECU10は、自車両の周辺の物標(周辺物標)が、高相対速度物標であれば、周辺レーダセンサ16aにより検出される物標情報に含まれる相対速度を用いて車線支援制御を禁止すべき状況であるか否かを判定する。これに対し、運転支援ECU10は、周辺物標が低相対速度物標であれば、周辺レーダセンサ16aにより検出される物標情報に含まれる相対速度を用いることなく当該物標情報に含まれる物標の位置(距離)を用いて車線支援制御を禁止すべき状況であるか否かを判定する。【選択図】図1
