PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detector allowing even a low-skilled maintenance person to easily determine that a detected change in a magnetic flux is a change in a magnetic flux caused by leakage of the magnetic flux from its deteriorated portion.SOLUTION: An abnormality detector of an embodiment comprises a plurality of magnetizers that magnetize plurality of wire ropes to detect a change in a magnetic flux, a fixing member that integrally fixes each magnetizer, and an attaching member for attaching, to a part of an elevator, each magnetizer integrally fixed by the fixing member. Each magnetizer includes a pair of magnets disposed opposite to each other with a predetermined interval in a moving direction of the wire ropes, and a sensor that detects the change in the magnetic flux of the wire ropes magnetized by the pair of magnets, and has magnetic flux detection parts mutually arrayed with a predetermined interval in a width direction of the wire ropes. The pair of magnets are disposed such that different magnetic poles face each other and also disposed such that the magnetic poles are adjacent to the same magnetic poles from the pair of magnets included in the adjacent magnetic flux detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
