PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper for a railway vehicle in which a failure of cracking caused in an elastic material in an early stage is improved by increasing a shearing resistant load so as to improve the durability while adopting a structure made by integrally fixing the elastic material to a pedestal member by further devising the structure.SOLUTION: In a stopper S for a railway vehicle including an elastic member 1 and a pedestal member 2 which is fixed to the elastic member 1 to support the elastic member and provided with attaching means 3 with respect to a stopper fixing part, a constricted part 6 in which an outer surface of the elastic member 1 is recessed is formed in an end part of the elastic member 1 on a side fixed to the pedestal member 2. 【課題】更なる構造工夫により、台座部材に弾性材が固着一体化されてなる構造を採りながらも、耐せん断荷重を高めて、弾性材に早期に亀裂が生じる不具合を改善し、耐久性が向上された鉄道車両用ストッパを提供する。【解決手段】弾性材1と、弾性材1を固着支持しかつ、ストッパ固定部に対する取付手段3を備えている台座部材2とを有してなる鉄道車両用ストッパSにおいて、弾性材1における台座部材2に固着される側の端部に、弾性材1の外側面が凹入されたくびれ部6を形成する。くびれ部6は、弾性材1におけるせん断荷重を受ける側の側面7,8に設ける。【選択図】図2
