PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress erroneous detection of an arousal state of an occupant when a vehicle travels on a flat road and vibration of the vehicle is small, and appropriately determine the arousal state of the occupant.SOLUTION: An occupant state determination device 100 includes: a vehicle acceleration acquisition unit 10 for acquiring acceleration of a vehicle; an occupant acceleration acquisition unit 20 for acquiring acceleration of an upper half body of an occupant of the vehicle; a vehicle acceleration determination unit 30 for determining whether acceleration acquired by the vehicle acceleration acquisition unit is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold value or not; a correlation calculation unit 50 for calculating correlation between the acceleration acquired by the vehicle acceleration acquisition unit and the acceleration acquired by the occupant acceleration acquisition unit; and an occupant state determination unit 40 for determining arousal degree of the occupant on the basis of determination performed by the vehicle acceleration determination unit and the correlation calculated by the correlation calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
