PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging robot which efficiently and economically performs automatic charging of a vehicle in a household use section.SOLUTION: A charging robot 12 for connecting a contact device 16 of an electric charger 14 with an electric charging interface 18 of a vehicle 20 has a robot arm 22 which may be connected with the contact device. The charging robot which can move having at least three degrees of freedom so that the robot arm can connect the contact device with the charging interface has a detection device 24 for detecting an orientation of the charging interface on the vehicle. The robot arm has adjustment means 34 for adjusting the contact device on the charging robot.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
