PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery controller of an electric vehicle, which can shorten charging time while travel performance of a cruising distance of the electric vehicle is maintained.SOLUTION: A battery controller of an electric vehicle comprises: a charging circuit for charging a plurality of batteries mounted on the electric vehicle; a power supply circuit for supplying DC current received from an external power supply device to the charging circuit; and connection state switching means for switching a connection state of the plurality of batteries. The connection state switching means sets the connection state of the plurality of batteries to a parallel connection when the electric vehicle travels and sets the connection state of the plurality of batteries to a series connection when the plurality of batteries are charged by the external power supply device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
