PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic control device capable of suppressing traffic jams.SOLUTION: A traffic control device 100 determines whether vehicles 101-1 to 101-4 leaving following distance equal to or longer than a threshold are present in an interval that is selected based on information about a place where an event occurs, on the basis of event occurrence information and following distance information. In a case where it is determined that the vehicles leaving the following distance equal to or longer than the threshold are not present, the traffic control device 100 outputs an instruction indicating a driving operation for extending the following distance between one vehicle on a route and a vehicle ahead to a terminal device corresponding to the one vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】交通渋滞を抑制することが出来る交通制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】交通制御装置100は、イベント発生情報と、車間距離情報とに基づいて、イベントが発生した場所の情報に基づいて選定された区間に、車間距離が閾値以上の車両101−1〜101−4が存在するか否かを判定する。交通制御装置100は、車間距離が閾値以上の車両が存在しないと判定した場合、経路上のいずれかの車両に対応する端末装置に、いずれかの車両の前方車両との車間距離を大きくする運転操作を示す指示を出力する。【選択図】図1
