PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grounding characteristics measuring method that makes possible detection in a region smaller than the size of the detectable region of a sensor.SOLUTION: In the region of a tire T where measurement is to be done, the detectable region width W1 of a force sensor 3 disposed in virtual regions each having a size of 1/2(n is a natural number not smaller than 1) of the tire travel surface 1 is set. The contact position between the tire travel surface 1 and the tire T is so shifted in a prescribed direction that the force sensor 3 comes into contact with each virtual region plural times, and force measurement by the sensor 3 is performed plural times. Mapping data in which data units regarding the positional relation between the virtual region and the sensor 3 at each measuring time is generated. On the basis of the force balance relationship between the sensor 3 and the virtual region determined by a mapping data generator 43 and values detected by the sensor 3, a force value is calculated for each virtual region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】センサの検出領域のサイズよりも小さい領域での検出を可能にした、タイヤの接地特性測定方法を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤTのうち測定対象となる領域に、タイヤ走行面1に設けられた力センサ3の検出領域幅W1の1/2n(nは1以上の自然数)の大きさを有する仮想領域を設定する。一つの仮想領域に対して、力センサ3が複数回接触するように、所定方向に沿ってタイヤ走行面1とタイヤTとの接触位置をシフトさせてセンサ3による力の測定を複数回実行する。仮想領域とセンサ3との位置関係に関するデータを、測定時点毎に対応付けたマッピングデータを生成する。マッピングデータ生成部43により定まるセンサ3と仮想領域との力の釣り合い関係と、センサ3の検出値と、に基づき、仮想領域毎に力の値を算出する。【選択図】図3
