PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lock device in which deformation of a lock assisting member is suppressed.SOLUTION: The vehicular lock device comprises a lock member 30 energized rotatably in an engagement direction in which the member engages with a striker and a lock assisting member 40 that assists the engagement. The lock member 30 has at least a first groove 37 and a second groove 38. The lock assisting member 40 has a protrusion part 43 that can be arranged between the first groove 37 and the second groove 38. The protrusion part 43 has an inward surface 43a pointing to an insertion groove bottom side and an outward surface 43b pointing to an insertion groove opening side. When the striker is inserted through the first groove 37, the lock member 30 and the lock assisting member 40 hold the striker with an inward surface 37a of the first groove of the lock member 30 and the outward surface 43b of the protrusion part 43 of the lock assisting member 40: and when the striker is inserted through the second groove 38, striker is held with an outward surface 38b of the second groove of the lock member 30 and the inward surface 43a of the protrusion part 43 of the lock assisting member 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
