PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load in computation relating to search of a vehicle that moves to a desired destination.SOLUTION: An information processing system acquires information on a scheduled ride place and destination for an applicant who applies for a ride on a vehicle, and designates a search area, within which a vehicle a ride on which the applicant applies for is searched, on the basis of an advancing direction of a move from the scheduled ride place determined based on the information to the destination. The system further designates as a search area an area within a predetermined range, which lies away from the scheduled ride place, in a direction opposite to the advancing direction from the scheduled ride place.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】所望の目的地への移動を行う車両探索に係る演算負荷を低減する。【解決手段】情報処理装置は、車両への乗車を希望する希望者につき、乗車予定地と目的地の情報を取得し、該情報に基づいて決定した乗車予定地から目的地への移動に係る進行方向に基づき、希望者の乗車申込を行う車両を探索する探索領域を設定する。また装置は、乗車予定地から進行方向の反対方向に、乗車予定地から離間して存在する所定の範囲の領域を、探索領域として設定する。【選択図】図7
