PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of an in-wheel motor drive unit having a parallel axis gear reducer in a radial direction, and to improve drive performance and vehicle mountability.SOLUTION: A parallel axis gear is constituted of: an input shaft 30a connected to an electric motor part A, and having an input gear 30; one or a plurality of intermediate shafts S1 having an input-side intermediate gear 31 and an output-side intermediate gear 32; and an output shaft 36 connected to a wheel bearing part C, and having a final output gear 35. Both end parts of the input shaft, the intermediate shaft and the output shaft are rotatably supported by rolling bearings 42, 43, and at least two rolling bearings of two rolling bearings 45, 49 for supporting outboard sides of the intermediate shaft and the output shaft, and two rolling bearings 44, 48 for supporting inboard sides of the intermediate shaft and the output shaft are arranged in a position in which their bearing widths are not overlapped on each other in an axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
