PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control drive mode switching even in a case where the function of monitoring a state of driver becomes out of order.SOLUTION: In a case where, during travel control in automatic drive mode, a determination is made that a driver camera 7 is in an abnormal state, a situation is determined whether a driver is able to perform a manual drive operation or not at the timing right before the determination is made that the driver camera 7 is in the abnormal state. In a case where the situation is determined that the driver is able to perform the manual drive operation, a forcible switching signal for switching the automatic dive mode to the manual drive mode is output. Conversely, in a case where the situation is determined that the driver is not able to perform the manual drive operation, the automatic drive mode is maintained and, on the basis of a detection signal of a torque sensor 8, a determination is made whether a situation where the driver is able to perform the manual drive operation has been restored or not.     【課題】運転者の状態を監視する機能に障害が発生した場合でも、運転モードの切り替えを適切に制御できるようにする。【解決手段】自動運転モードによる走行制御中にドライバカメラ7が異常であると判定された場合に、上記ドライバカメラ7が異常であると判定された時点の直前のタイミングにおける運転者の状態が手動運転操作を行える状態にあるか否かを判定する。そして、運転者の状態が手動運転操作を行える状態にあると判定された場合には自動運転モードを手動運転モードに切り替えるための強制切替信号を出力する。一方、運転者の状態が手動運転操作を行える状態にないと判定された場合には、自動運転モードを維持し、トルクセンサ8の検出信号をもとに運転者が手動運転操作を行える状態に復帰したか否かを判定し、復帰したことが確認された時点で強制切替信号を出力する。【選択図】図2
