PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system, which allows a monitoring device and a detecting device to perform two-way communication without adjusting rotation angles of tires during stopping of a vehicle, and yet can suppress consumed power by the detecting device.SOLUTION: A tire air pressure monitoring system comprises a detecting device that detects air pressure of tires provided in a vehicle C and transmits via radio waves air pressure signals obtained by the detection, and a monitoring device that receives the air pressure signals to monitor air pressure of each tire. The monitoring device 1 comprises a request signal transmitting portion that transmits via radio waves request signals for requesting the air pressure signals to the detecting device 2. The detecting device 2 comprises: a request signal receiving portion that receives request signals transmitted from the monitoring system 1; a rotation angle detecting portion that detects rotation angles of the tires 3; a sensitivity setting portion that sets reception sensitivity of the request signal receiving portion according to rotation angles detected by the rotation angle detecting portion; and an air pressure signal transmitting portion that transmits the air pressure signals when the request signal receiving portion receives the request signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】停車時におけるタイヤの回転角度を調整しなくても、監視装置及び検出装置が双方向通信を行うことができ、しかも検出装置の消費電力を抑えることができるタイヤ空気圧監視システムを提供する。【解決手段】タイヤ空気圧監視システムは、車両Cに設けられたタイヤの空気圧を検出して得られる空気圧信号を無線送信する検出装置と、空気圧信号を受信して各タイヤの空気圧を監視する監視装置とを備える。監視装置1は、空気圧信号を要求する要求信号を検出装置2へ無線送信する要求信号送信部を備える。検出装置2は、監視装置1から送信された要求信号を受信する要求信号受信部と、タイヤ3の回転角度を検出する回転角度検出部と、該回転角度検出部にて検出された回転角度に応じて、要求信号受信部の受信感度を設定する感度設定部と、要求信号受信部にて要求信号を受信した場合、空気圧信号を送信する空気圧信号送信部とを備える。【選択図】図1
