PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system, which allows a monitoring device and a detecting device to perform two-way communication without adjusting rotation angles of tires during stopping of a vehicle, and yet can suppress consumed power by the detecting device.SOLUTION: A tire air pressure monitoring system comprises a detecting device 2 that detects air pressure of tires 3 provided in a vehicle C to transmit via radio waves air pressure signals obtained by the detection, and a monitoring device 1 that receives the air pressure signals and monitors air pressure of each tire 3. The monitoring system 1 comprises an angle information acquiring portion that acquires angle information indicating rotation angles of the tires 3 and a request signal transmitting portion that transmits via radio waves request signals for requesting the air pressure information to the detecting device 2 at signal strength corresponding to the acquired angle information. The detecting device 2 comprises an air pressure signal transmitting portion that transmits the air pressure information when receiving the request signals transmitted from the monitoring device 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】停車時におけるタイヤの回転角度を調整しなくても、監視装置及び検出装置が双方向通信を行うことができ、しかも検出装置の消費電力を抑えることができるタイヤ空気圧監視システムを提供する。【解決手段】タイヤ空気圧監視システムは、車両Cに設けられたタイヤ3の空気圧を検出して得られる空気圧信号を無線送信する検出装置2と、空気圧信号を受信して各タイヤ3の空気圧を監視する監視装置1とを備える。監視装置1は、タイヤ3の回転角度を示す角度情報を取得する角度情報取得部と、取得した角度情報に応じた信号強度で、空気圧情報を要求する要求信号を検出装置2へ無線送信する要求信号送信部とを備える。検出装置2は、監視装置1から送信された要求信号を受信した場合、空気圧情報を送信する空気圧信号送信部を備える。【選択図】図1
