PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of properly controlling a vehicle by using the position of own vehicle while expressing almost all communities in the world without requiring any complicated conversion of coordinate system when associating an actual distance and/or actual azimuth.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system 1 includes: an own vehicle position calculation part 4c that calculates the position of own vehicle on a map using a coordinate system which has the congruence, and in which projects almost all communities in the world in a manner of map projection method by means of orthographic projection; and a vehicle control unit 8c that controls the vehicle by using the position of own vehicle which is calculated by the own vehicle position calculation part 4c by using a coordinate system which is projected with a map projection method by means of orthographic projection which has the congruence and expresses almost all community in the world.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
