PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy saving travel control method for efficiently performing travel section travel from a trave start point to a target stop point by flexibly corresponding to an actual travel state and an actual travel environment state of a vehicle.SOLUTION: Current vehicle position information including altitude information, vehicle present speed information, and position information having a target stop point state and the altitude information are specified every constant period during travel section travel from a travel start point to a target stop point, a distance L between a vehicle present position and the target stop point, and an energy saving deceleration travel distance L'(v)=Li(v)+Lb (where, Li(v): inertia travel possible distance from speed v to speed vb, Lb: braking travel distance from the speed vb to speed 0) to the target stop point at the vehicle present speed v are calculated and specified by using various pieces of information that are newly specified, and after the distance L becomes L≤L'(v), travel and arrival are performed to the target stop point by energy saving deceleration travel due to inertial travel of distance L(v) from the speed v to the target stop point and braking travel of distance Lb from the speed vb. (Where, in the case that an intersection signal being the target stop point is "green" at a time point being L≤Lb, a shift from inertia travel to braking travel is not performed, and the inertia travel continues to travel through the intersection without stopping.)SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】走行開始点から目標停止点までの走行区間走行を、車両の実走行状態・実走行環境状態に柔軟に対応して効率的に行う省エネルギー走行制御方法の提案。【解決手段】走行開始点から目標停止点までの走行区間走行に際し、一定周期ごとに、高度情報を含む車両現在位置情報、車両現在速度情報、目標停止点状態および高度情報を有する位置情報、の特定を行い、前記新たに特定された各種情報を用いて、車両現在位置−目標停止点間距離L、車両現在速度vでの目標停止点までの省エネルギー減速走行距離L’(v)=Li(v) +Lb (但し、Li(v) :速度v から速度vb までの間の惰性走行可能距離、Lb :速度vb から速度0 までの制動走行距離)の算出・特定、を行い、距離LがL≦L’(v)となったのちは速度v から目標停止点に向けての距離L(v)の惰性走行および速度vbからの距離Lb の制動走行による省エネルギー減速走行によって目標停止点に向けて走行・到達する。(但し、L≦Lbなる時点で、目標停止点である信号交差点信号が「青」である場合は惰性走行から制動走行への移行は行わず、惰性走行を継続し当該交差点を無停止で通過する。)【選択図】 図1
