PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmholtz type sound absorption structure, which reduces low frequency noise, in a vehicle at low costs.SOLUTION: A helmholtz type sound absorption structure 1 includes: a vehicle interior material 10 facing a vehicle cabin; and a container component 15 forming a separate body from the vehicle interior material 10. A specific portion 11 of the vehicle interior material 10 and the container component 15 are joined to each other in an air-tight manner and cooperate to form a closed space 18. A vent hole 15b for allowing communication between the closed space 18 and the outside is formed in one of the specific portion 11 and the container component 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
