PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved tether for use in connecting an underwater device in liquid such as a flow driving vehicle of an underwater electric power plant system with a supporting structure.SOLUTION: A tether (1) comprises a plurality of individual tether parts (4a, 4b) extending in a main direction and connected by connecting means. The tether parts (4a, 4b) have at least an outer shape including a front edge and a rear edge and extending in the main direction and including at least one tension supporting part extending in the main direction. When the tether parts move in liquid, the tether parts are rotated around a revolving shaft in parallel with the main direction and constituted in such a way that they are self adjusted with respect to a relative flow direction of liquid. Further, the tether (1) is constituted in such a way that it can be twisted at the tether part for performing a self-adjustment at a local site, and further, the tether (1) comprises supporting structure end parts (17a, 17b) extending in the main direction and the supporting structure end parts show a feature that they have basically a circular shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
