PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a travelling headlight which can properly illuminate an own vehicle line even when an oncoming vehicle exists, without requiring a plurality of pieces of light sources, and which can illuminate frontward up to a certain distance even when a preceding vehicle exists.SOLUTION: Out of a plurality of light source segments installed at a portion on an opposite lane side in a vehicle, the number of the light source segments for radiating light by directing further the counter opposite lane side than the vehicle center line is made to be larger than the number of the light source segments for radiating light by directing further the opposite lane side than the vehicle center line, and a travelling headlight is constituted. It is preferable that the vehicle includes a light source segment which radiates light by directing a direction in parallel with the road surface, and also includes a light source segment which radiates light by directing obliquely downward crossing the road surface and which includes the road surface from a 50 m point to a 100 m point in front of the vehicle in an irradiation range of the light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】多数個の光源を必要とせず、対向車が存在していても自車線を適切に照明でき、また先行車が存在していても一定距離までは前方を照明できるような走行用前照灯を実現する。【解決手段】車両における対向車線側の部位に設置する複数の光源セグメントのうち、車両中心線よりも反対向車線側を指向して光を照射する光源セグメントの数を、車両中心線よりも対向車線側を指向して光を照射する光源セグメントの数よりも多くした走行用前照灯を構成した。車両には、路面と平行な方向を指向して光を照射する光源セグメントとともに、路面と交差する斜め下方を指向して光を照射し、車両の前方50mの地点から100mの地点までの路面を光の照射範囲に含む光源セグメントを設置することが好ましい。【選択図】図6
