PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake mechanism that can estimate internal pressure of an air tank accurately in a real-time manner and avoid a response lag, and to provide a hybrid vehicle and a method for controlling a brake mechanism.SOLUTION: In a brake mechanism 51, a control device 70 calculates an estimation value Px of internal pressure of an air tank 53 based on brake pressure Pb and an operation time Tb where a mechanical brake 55 operates, as a parameter and, based on the calculated estimation value Px, an air pump 52 is controlled to be driven.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
