PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting unit control device capable of minimizing a circuit scale as well as reliably controlling a vehicular lighting unit.SOLUTION: A vehicular lighting unit control device comprises: a constant current control part 9 controlling a constant current for a current provided to a vehicular lighting unit LT including multiple LED modules LM1, LM2 to a control current value IC; a MOS transistor 10 connecting a part of both terminals of the multiple LED modules LM1, LM2 with between a drain and a source thereof; a switching control part 8 for controlling switching the number of series connections of the multiple LED modules LM1, LM2 constituting the vehicular lighting unit by gradually changing a gate voltage of the MOS transistor 10 in a vicinity of a threshold voltage of the MOS transistor 10 according to a switching signal, to control switching on/off the MOS transistor 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】、回路規模を極力小さく保ちつつ信頼性良く車両用灯具を制御できるようにした車両用灯具制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】定電流制御部9は、複数のLEDモジュールLM1、LM2を含む車両用灯具LTに通電する電流を制御電流値ICに定電流制御する。MOSトランジスタ10は複数のLEDモジュールLM1、LM2の一部の両端子にドレインソース間を接続している。切替制御部8は、切替信号に応じてMOSトランジスタ10のゲート電圧をMOSトランジスタ10の閾値電圧付近で緩やかに変化させてMOSトランジスタ10をオン/オフ制御することで車両用灯具を構成する複数のLEDモジュールLM1、LM2の直列数を切替制御する。【選択図】図1
