PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a modified polymer which can obtain a modified polymer corresponding to a blend of a modified polymer for matrix and a low molecular weight polymer of a rubber composition with high productivity.SOLUTION: A method for producing a modified polymer includes: continuously supplying a raw material monomer containing at least a conjugated diene compound, a lithium-containing polymerization initiator, 1,2-butadiene and a modifier to a circulation type reactor; continuously polymerizing the raw material monomer to generate a polymer; and modifying a part of the generated polymer with the modifier, where the polymerization and the modification are performed at 110°C or higher, and a molar ratio (1,2-Bd/Li) of the 1,2-butadiene (1,2-Bd) and lithium (Li) in the lithium-containing polymerization initiator is 0.37 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】ゴム組成物のマトリクス用変性ポリマーと低分子量ポリマーとのブレンド物に相当する変性ポリマーを高い生産性で得ることができる、変性ポリマーの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】流通式反応器に、少なくとも共役ジエン化合物を含む原料モノマーと、リチウム含有重合開始剤と、1,2−ブタジエンと、変性剤とを連続的に供給し、前記原料モノマーを連続的に重合させてポリマーを生成させつつ、該生成したポリマーの一部を前記変性剤で変性する、変性ポリマーの製造方法において、前記重合及び変性を110℃以上で行い、前記1,2−ブタジエン(1,2−Bd)と、前記リチウム含有重合開始剤中のリチウム(Li)とのモル比(1,2−Bd/Li)を0.37以下とすることを特徴とする、変性ポリマーの製造方法である。【選択図】なし
