PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed control system of a passenger conveyor capable of controlling all of n passenger conveyors at respective appropriate speeds according to respective degrees of congestion of the n passenger conveyors.SOLUTION: When calculating a speed increasing/decreasing value Δvk of a k-th escalator 10, a main control part 102 of a speed control system 100 multiplies respective degrees of congestion c of all of the escalators 10 by respective preset weights t to determine respective individual increasing/decreasing values b, determines a weighted sum by adding all of the individual increasing/decreasing values b, and sets the weighted sum to be the speed increasing/decreasing value Δvk. Then, a control part 50 of the k-th escalator 10 adds the speed increasing/decreasing value Δvk to a rated speed v0, and rotates a motor 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
