PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof side member of a vehicle which can suppress an increase of the weight of the vehicle, and can efficiently improve the torsional rigidity of a vehicle body.SOLUTION: This invention relates to roof-side members 3, 10 of a vehicle which comprises a roof-side inner panel 6 and a roof-side outer panel 7 which are arranged along a vehicle fore-and-aft direction so as to oppose each other in a state that a closed cross section S is formed, and in which a corner part c1 which is formed of the roof-side inner panel 6 and the roof-side outer panel 7 in a V-shape is arranged at a lower side region s1 of the closed cross section S. In the roof-side members 3, 10, a brace member 9 is arranged in an inside space of the corner part c1, or a foaming changing member 11 is arranged in at least in the inside space of the corner part c1 in the closed cross section S, and the brace member 9 or the foaming changing member 11 is joined to the roof-side inner panel 6 and the roof-side outer panel 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】車両の重量増加を抑制でき、かつ車体のねじり剛性を効率的に向上させることができる車両のルーフサイドメンバを提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、閉断面Sを形成した状態で対向するように車両前後方向に沿って配置されるルーフサイドインナーパネル6及びルーフサイドアウターパネル7を備え、ルーフサイドインナーパネル6及びルーフサイドアウターパネル7によってV字形状に形成される角部c1が閉断面Sの下側領域s1に設けられている、車両のルーフサイドメンバ3,10に関する。かかるルーフサイドメンバ3,10においては、角部c1の内側空間内にブレース部材9が配置されるか、又は閉断面S内にて少なくとも角部c1の内側空間に発泡充填部材11が配置され、ブレース部材9又は発泡充填部材11がルーフサイドインナーパネル6及びルーフサイドアウターパネル7に接合されている。【選択図】図3
