PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor and a falling prevention device for the passenger conveyor capable of preventing falling of a newly installed passenger conveyor and existing passenger conveyors without impacting an inner space of a truss frame.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor comprises: a truss frame 2 installed between a lower story floor 1 and an upper story floor in recessed parts formed in respective floors on the lower story floor side and the upper story floor side; a support angle 6 attached to the truss frame 2, and mounted onto a building pedestal 5; support beams 7A, 7B, 17A, 17B, which are arranged respectively in clearances 19A, 19B formed between the truss frame 2 and respective side walls 9A and 9B of the recessed part, and one respective ends of which are fixed to the lower story floor 1; and support arms 8A, 8B, 18A, 18B, one respective ends of which are fixed to the support beams 7A, 7B, 17A, 17B, while the other respective ends of which are positioned on inner end surfaces 3U, 4U of an upper chord member 3 and a lower chord member 4 of the truss frame 2, to support lower surfaces of the upper chord member 3 and the lower chord member 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
