PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type tiller in which the movement of traveling wheels can reliably be locked.SOLUTION: A walking-type tiller includes: traveling wheels 4L, 4R; an operating handle 17; tilling claws 6; an engine 15 for turning the traveling wheels and the tilling claws; a transmission case 2 with a transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving force of the engine to the traveling wheels and the tilling claws being built therein; a second traveling spindle 40 with one end protruded from the transmission mechanism to the outside, and provided with a parking brake groove 41a in one end; a parking brake on/off device 310 having a parking brake pin 301 capable of being engaged to the parking brake groove 41a, and performing switching whether or not to inhibit the turning of the second traveling spindle; and a parking brake-containing operating lever 70 for performing operation to inhibit the turning of the second traveling spindle to the parking brake on/off device. The parking brake-containing operating lever is provided in the operating handle, and the parking brake pin 301 is fitted to the parking brake groove 41a by operating the parking brake-containing control lever, and thereby the movement of the second traveling spindle is locked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
