PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce congestion in communication due to increase in traffic in vehicle-to-pedestrian communication by sufficiently reducing transmission frequency of a pedestrian terminal device, while securing safety of a pedestrian.SOLUTION: A pedestrian terminal device includes: a position information acquisition part 11 for acquiring position information of an own pedestrian; communication part 12 for receiving a message including position information of a vehicle and a message including position information of other pedestrians by vehicle-to-pedestrian communication, and for transmitting a message including positional information of the own pedestrian by vehicle-to-pedestrian communication; information storage part 15 for storing map information; and a control part 14. The control part sets an object area according to a condition of vehicles existing in the road in front and at the back of the own pedestrian from map information, the position information of the own pedestrian and the vehicles, extracts other pedestrians existing in the object area as a comparison object from the position information of other pedestrians, and when a predetermined transmission stop condition regarding the position information between the other pedestrians who are the comparison object and the own pedestrian is satisfied, stops the transmission of messages.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11

    【課題】歩行者の安全を確保しつつ、歩行者端末装置の送信頻度を十分に低減して歩車間通信でのトラフィックの増大による通信の輻輳を低減する。【解決手段】自歩行者の位置情報を取得する位置情報取得部11と、車両の位置情報を含むメッセージおよび他の歩行者の位置情報を含むメッセージを歩車間通信で受信するとともに、自歩行者の位置情報を含むメッセージを歩車間通信で送信する通信部12と、地図情報を格納する情報格納部15と、制御部14とを備え、制御部は、地図情報、自歩行者および車両の位置情報から、自歩行者の前方および後方の道路に存在する車両の状況に応じた対象エリアを設定し、他の歩行者の位置情報から、対象エリア内に存在する他の歩行者を比較対象として抽出し、比較対象とした他の歩行者と自歩行者との位置関係に関する所定の送信停止条件が満たされると、メッセージの送信を停止する。【選択図】図11
