PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a large space at a lower part of an in-wheel motor drive unit in a wheel for a wheel.SOLUTION: A gear reduction part 31 of an in-wheel motor drive unit 10 includes an input shaft 32 connected to a motor rotating shaft, an output shaft 41 connected to a wheel hub, and extending in parallel with the input shaft, and one or more intermediate shaft 35, 38 extending in parallel with the input shaft and the output shaft. An input gear 33 connected to the input shaft, a plurality of intermediate gears 34, 36, 37 and 39 connected to the intermediate shafts and an output gear 40 connected to the output shaft are engaged with one another, and thereby a drive transmission route reaching the output gear from the input gear via a plurality of the intermediate gears is formed. Then, when viewed in an axial line direction of the intermediate shaft, an axial line O of the output shaft, an axial line NI of at least one intermediate shaft 38 and an axial line M of the input shaft are arranged in a vehicle fore-and-aft direction in this order, and the axial line NI of at least one intermediate shaft is arranged at an upper part rather than the axial line of the output shaft and the axial line of the input shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
