A side object detection device detects a side moving object Amoving on the side of the own vehicle 10 in the same direction as the own vehicle, and the system is constituted so as to inhibit the execution of the automatic steering avoidance control when there is a possibility that the side moving object Acollides with the own vehicle once the automatic steering avoidance control is executed.
