PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of preventing damage of a nozzle by a collision between a separated lower-stage side structure and a nozzle in a rocket.SOLUTION: A connection-separation mechanism 10 comprises a protective member 11, a connection member 13 and a connection release device 15 for mutually connecting-separating an upper-stage side structure 3B and a lower-stage side structure 3C of a rocket. The protective member 11 is connected to a lower end part 7a of an upper-stage side outer shell 7 of the upper-stage side structure 3B, and is positioned between a nozzle 5a and a lower-stage side outer shell 9 in the width direction orthogonal to the circumferential direction. The connection member 13 connects the protective member 11 to the lower-stage side outer shell 9. The connection release device 15 releases the connection between the protective member 11 and the lower-stage side outer shell 9 by the connection member 13. The protective member 11 is constituted of a plurality of divided pieces 11A. An upper end part of the divided pieces 11A engages in the axial direction of the rocket 1 with a lower end part 7a of the upper-stage side outer shell 7, so that the divided pieces 11A are connected to the upper-stage side outer shell 7. The lower-stage side outer shell 9 is connected to the upper-stage side outer shell 7 via the protective member 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】ロケットにおいて、分離された下段側の構造体とノズルとの衝突によるノズルの破損を防止できる手段を提供する。【解決手段】連結分離機構10は、ロケットの上段側構造体3Bと下段側構造体3Cとを互いに連結し分離するために、保護部材11と連結部材13と連結解除装置15を備える。保護部材11は、上段側構造体3Bの上段側外殻7の下端部7aに連結され、周方向と直交する幅方向においてノズル5aと下段側外殻9との間に位置する。連結部材13は、保護部材11を下段側外殻9に連結する。連結解除装置15は、連結部材13による保護部材11と下段側外殻9との連結を解除する。保護部材11は、複数の分割片11Aから構成される。分割片11Aの上端部が、上段側外殻7の下端部7aにロケット1の軸方向に係合することにより、分割片11Aは上段側外殻7に連結している。下段側外殻9は、保護部材11を介して上段側外殻7に連結している。【選択図】図3
