PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overdischarge of a battery (as an example, a 12 V lithium ion battery) for supplying power to the electrical loads of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An overdischarge prevention device has a voltage sensor 110 for sensing the voltage of a battery, a relay 120 for preventing overdischarge of the battery, a power supply state sensor 150 for sensing the ignition ON state, and a controller 170 for outputting a warning message when the voltage of the battery reaches a first critical value in the ignition ON state, and turning the relay OFF after transmitting an end instruction to each ECU (Electronic Control Unit) through a vehicle network, when the voltage of the battery subsequently reaches a second critical value lower than the first critical value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
