PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic operation system and a navigation system capable of performing optimal automatic operation control while suppressing costs of an automatic operation control device.SOLUTION: An automatic operation system 10 mounted on a vehicle comprises: a navigation device 26 for searching a route from the current position to destination of the vehicle; a highly accurate map unit 28 for generating detail information of the route on the basis of the searched route and map information; and an automatic operation control device 30 for automatically controlling acceleration/deceleration and steering of the vehicle by using at least the detail information. The highly accurate map unit 28 divides the route into a plurality of block areas, and outputs the detail information currently necessary for the automatic control among the detail information corresponding to the plurality of block areas to the automatic operation control device 30 by a block area unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
