PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether appropriate uplink position setting is performed regardless of the quantity of arriving light for an optical receiver used for a multi-rate-compatible optical beacon in an uplink direction.SOLUTION: An inspection method relates to an inspection method of an optical receiver used for a multi-rate-compatible optical beacon, capable of receiving two kinds of light signals having high and low transmission speeds. The inspection method includes: a first step of adjusting the amount of luminescence of a light emitter of the light signal such that the quantity of arriving light to the optical receiver becomes a predetermined setting value, and measuring a reception fault rate of low-speed and high-speed frames received by the optical receiver; a second step of acquiring reception fault rates of low-speed and high-speed frames for a plurality of setting values by executing the first step by changing the setting value to a different setting value; and a third step of determining whether the reception fault rate of low-speed frames is larger than that of high-speed frames for all the setting values.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】 アップリンク方向でマルチレート対応の光ビーコンに用いる光受信器に対して、到達光量に関係なく適切なアップリンク位置設定となることを確認できるようにする。【解決手段】 本発明の検査方法は、高低2種類の伝送速度の光信号を受信可能なマルチレート対応の光ビーコンに用いる光受信器の検査方法に関する。この検査方法は、前記光受信器に対する到達光量が所定の設定値となるように、前記光信号の発光器の発光量を調整し、前記光受信器が受光した低速及び高速フレームの受信異常率をそれぞれ測定する第1ステップと、前記設定値を異なる設定値に変更して前記第1ステップを実行することにより、複数の設定値についての低速及び高速フレームの受信異常率を取得する第2ステップと、すべての前記設定値について、低速フレームの受信異常率>高速フレームの受信異常率であるか否かを判定する第3ステップと、を含む。【選択図】 図6
