PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion evaluation method of a tire capable of accurately evaluating a heel-and-toe abrasion performance by appropriately obtaining a maximum step difference amount generated in a tread part due to heel-and-toe abrasion.SOLUTION: An abrasion estimation method of a tire includes the steps of: setting a first measurement point and a second measurement point in a tread part; setting a reference point in the measurement; measuring a distance between the first measurement point and the reference point in a tire radial direction in each of abrasion progresses of the tread part of at least three different stages; measuring the distance between the second measurement point and the reference point; calculating a stage difference amount between the first measurement point and the second measuring point in each of the abrasion progresses on the basis of a difference between the first measurement point and the reference point and the difference between the second measurement point and the reference point; estimating a maximum stage difference amount in an abrasion hysteresis on the basis of stage difference amount data showing a calculated stage difference amount; and estimating a heel-and-toe abrasion performance of the tire on the basis of an estimated maximum stage difference amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
