PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stable energy absorption characteristics in a vehicular energy absorption structure with a guide section provided internally to a tube shaped energy absorption body formed from fiber reinforced resin.SOLUTION: A vehicular energy absorption structure includes a tubular energy absorption body 14A made from a fiber reinforced resin, an opposing face (an attachment plate 20) that is provided facing an axial direction end portion of the energy absorption body 14A, and against which the energy absorption body is crushed from the axial direction end portion during a vehicle collision, and a guide section (peripheral walls 22 and ribs 26) that projects from the opposing face and that is disposed in an interior of the energy absorption body 14A. The guide section includes an abutting section (abutting walls 50) provided in a contactable manner to a wall constituting the energy absorption body from the inner side of the wall during the vehicle collision, the abutting section being provided by interposing an opening in the axial direction of the energy absorption body between the abutting section and the opposing face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】繊維強化樹脂から成る筒状のエネルギ吸収体の内部にガイド部を設けた車両のエネルギ吸収構造において、安定したエネルギ吸収特性を得る。【解決手段】車両のエネルギ吸収構造は、繊維強化樹脂から成る筒状のエネルギ吸収体14Aと、エネルギ吸収体14Aの軸方向の端部に対向して設けられ、車両の衝突時にエネルギ吸収体を軸方向の端部から圧壊させる対向面(取付板20)と、対向面から突出され、エネルギ吸収体14Aの内部に配置されたガイド部(周壁22及びリブ26)と、を備えている。そして、ガイド部は、車両の衝突時に前記エネルギ吸収体を構成する壁に内側から接触可能に設けられると共に、対向面との間に前記エネルギ吸収体の軸方向の隙間を空けて設けられた当て部(当て壁50)、を含んで構成されている。【選択図】図2
