PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve noise tolerance included in information obtained from a road surface.SOLUTION: A partition line recognition device 1 includes: a left-side camera; a right-side camera; a lane width calculation section 205 for calculating a first lane width that is an interval of partition lines existing at the right and at the left of a vehicle; a storage section 103 for storing a width of the vehicle; and a partition line determination section for determining whether a left partition line candidate detected by a left partition line position calculation section and a right partition line candidate detected by a right partition line position calculation section are a left and a right partition lines of the vehicle, respectively, based on a distance from the vehicle to the left partition line candidate, a distance from the vehicle to the right partition line candidate, the width of the vehicle, and the first lane width.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
