PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater photography device capable of obtaining a photographic image which allows an underwater photographing target to be checked securely.SOLUTION: An imaging part 1 images an underwater photographing target. An illumination part 3 illuminates the photographing target. A histogram generation part 21 divides luminance signals between a minimum luminance and a maximum luminance included in image signals into plural luminance groups and generates histogram data indicating the distribution of the frequency of each of the luminance groups. A histogram analysis part 22 analyzes how the frequencies of each of the luminance groups are distributed, on the basis of the histogram data. A distance control part 512 controls the distance between the photographing target and the illumination part 3 to be adjusted, in accordance with the analysis result of the histogram data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】水中の撮影対象物を的確に確認することができる撮影映像を得ることができる水中撮影装置を提供する。【解決手段】撮像部1は、水中の撮影対象物を撮像する。照明部3は、撮影対象物を照明する。ヒストグラム生成部21は、映像信号に含まれる輝度信号の最小輝度から最大輝度までを複数の輝度群に分割して、複数の輝度群それぞれの頻度の分布を示すヒストグラムデータを生成する。ヒストグラム解析部22は、ヒストグラムデータに基づいて、複数の輝度群それぞれの頻度がどのように分布しているかを解析する。距離制御部512は、ヒストグラムデータの解析結果に応じて、撮影対象物と照明部3との距離を調整するよう制御する。【選択図】図1
