PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel microlens array.SOLUTION: A microlens array comprises microlenses m11, m12,... regularly arrayed in a two-dimensional area and is configured to be two-dimensionally scanned with a light beam in main scanning and sub-scanning directions such that each pair of adjacent scan lines SL1-SL5 are non-parallel to each other. The microlenses mi1-mi7 that are arbitrary main-scanned with the light beam are arrayed following a main scan line SLi.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
