PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that there has been no system which supports a railway vehicle operation skill of each driver for the purpose of reducing a power consumption amount.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle operation support system comprises: a railway vehicle; a vehicle information collection device which collects vehicle travel information; a vehicle operation support provision device which supports vehicle operation of a driver; a vehicle information management device which manages the vehicle travel information collected by the vehicle information collection device; an operation performance instruction calculation device which calculates operation performance to realize a target power consumption amount; an operation support section extraction device which extracts only the vehicle travel information having the power consumption amount exceeding a predetermined threshold from the vehicle travel information in the vehicle information management device and a differential signal with respect to the target operation performance; an operation support information analysis device which extracts an operation support parameter effective for supporting operation of the driver by analyzing operation support information from the vehicle travel information; and an operation support information generation device which modifies the differential signal as the operation support information on the basis of an operation support analysis result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
