PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive assist apparatus for executing appropriate drive assist in a situation in which a fluid flows through a surface of an oscillator of an ultrasonic sensor.SOLUTION: A drive assist apparatus (10) detecting objects present around a subject vehicle 50 using an ultrasonic sensor 20 mounted in the subject vehicle 50 and executing a drive support control over the subject vehicle 50, comprises: a drive unit driving an oscillator 31 of the ultrasonic sensor 20 to transmit an ultrasonic wave from the oscillator 31; a reverberation acquisition unit acquiring duration time and a frequency of a reverberation accompanying driving of the oscillator 31; a property determination unit determining a change in a vibration property of the reverberation on the basis of the duration time and the frequency of the reverberation acquired; and a mode change unit changing a mode of at least one of an abnormality determination for determining whether an abnormality occurs in the drive assist control or the drive assist control on the basis of a determination result of the vibration property of the reverberation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】超音波センサの振動子の表面を流体が流れている状況において、適切な運転支援を実行する運転支援装置を提供する。【解決手段】自車両50に搭載された超音波センサ20を用いて自車両50の周辺に存在する物体を検知して、自車両50の運転支援制御を実施する運転支援装置(10)であって、超音波センサ20の振動子31を駆動させて、振動子31から超音波を送信させる駆動部と、振動子31の駆動に伴う残響の継続時間及び周波数を取得する残響取得部と、取得された残響の継続時間と周波数とに基づいて、残響の振動特性が変化していることを判定する特性判定部と、残響の振動特性の判定結果に基づいて、運転支援制御における異常の有無を判定する異常判定と運転支援制御との少なくともいずれかの実施態様を変更する態様変更部と、を備える。【選択図】 図2
