PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal cord-rubber composite suitable for a rubber article such as a tire for automobile and an industrial belt achieving enhancement of heat resistant adhesiveness of a metal cord and a rubber and enhancement of crack propagation resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a metal cord-rubber composite having N atom on a metal cord surface of 2 to 60 atom% and a ratio of (S atom%)/(sulfur content in a rubber blend) on an adhesive layer of 6 or more. It is manufactured by treating the metal cord with a solution of a transition metal salt with pH of 6 or less, conducting a treatment by a triazole compound and then adhering with a rubber.SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】金属コードとゴムとの耐熱接着性の向上と耐亀裂進展性の向上とを高度に両立した自動車用タイヤ、工業用ベルトなどのゴム物品に好適な金属コード−ゴム複合体を提供する。【解決手段】金属コード−ゴム複合体であって、金属コード表面のN原子が2〜60原子%であり、かつ、接着層における(S原子%)/(ゴム配合中のイオウ含有量)の比が6以上である金属コード−ゴム複合体。金属コードをpH6以下の遷移金属塩の水溶液処理した後、トリアゾール化合物による処理を施し、その後ゴムと接着することにより製造される。【選択図】なし
