PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deformation of a vehicle body frame by efficiently absorbing collision energy in both a high-speed collision and a low-speed collision.SOLUTION: Because a bumper beam 13 is composed of a fiber-reinforced resin including at least a continuous fiber disposed in a vehicle width direction, collision energy can be sufficiently absorbed by the fiber-reinforced resin including the continuous fiber during a high-speed collision, and thereby deformation of a vehicle body frame 11 can be suppressed. The bumper beam 13 comprises a central portion 13a positioned at a vehicle width direction center and protruding outward in a longitudinal direction, and left and right outside portions 13b inclined inward in the longitudinal direction from both ends of the central portion 13a in the vehicle width direction. Because a resin foam material 16 protruding outward in the longitudinal direction is provided in the left and right outside portions 13b, collision energy can be dispersed and absorbed by the central portion 13a and the outside portions 13b of the bumper beam 13 by absorbing a part of the collision energy with the resin foam material 16 when the resin foam material collapses during a low-speed collision, and thereby the deformation of the vehicle body frame 11 can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】 高速での衝突時にも低速での衝突時にも衝突エネルギーを効率的に吸収して車体フレームの変形を抑制する。【解決手段】 バンパービーム13を、少なくとも車幅方向に配向された連続繊維を含む繊維強化樹脂で構成したので、高速衝突時に連続繊維を含む繊維強化樹脂により衝突エネルギーを充分に吸収して車体フレーム11の変形を抑制することができる。しかもバンパービーム13は、車幅方向中央に位置して前後方向外側に突出する中央部分13aと、中央部分13aの車幅方向両端から前後方向内側に傾斜する左右の外側部分13bとを備え、左右の外側部分13bに前後方向外側に突出する樹脂発泡材16を設けたので、低速突時には樹脂発泡材16が圧壊して衝突エネルギーの一部を吸収することで、衝突エネルギーをバンパービーム13の中央部分13aおよび外側部分13bに分散して吸収し、車体フレーム11の変形を抑制することができる。【選択図】 図2
