PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle-riding type electric vehicle which can suppress an over current flowing when a load applied to a drive wheel suddenly changes.SOLUTION: A saddle-riding type vehicle 10 comprises a power transmission mechanism 40 for transmitting driving force of a motor 32 to a rear wheel 11R. The power transmission mechanism 40 includes a rear wheel axle 42 in which spline grooves 421 inclined to the axis direction are formed in the axle surface, a second gear 44 which is formed with a spline 441 fitting in the spline grooves 421 and transfers rotating force from and to the rear wheel axle 42, and an elastic member 51 which biases the second gear 44 mounted to the rear wheel axle 42 in the right direction. The inclination of the spline grooves 421, 441, in the case where the rear wheel 11R is rotated in a direction of moving the saddle-riding electric vehicle 10 forward, shifts the second gear 44 in the left direction when, while a rotational speed of the rear wheel 11R decreases, the second gear 44 is going to maintain the rotational speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】駆動輪が受ける負荷が急激に変化したときに流れる過電流を抑制することのできる鞍乗型電動車両を提供する。【解決手段】鞍乗型電動車両10は、モータ32の駆動力を後輪11Rに伝達する動力伝達機構40を備える。動力伝達機構40は、軸表面に、軸方向に対して傾斜したスプライン溝421が形成されている後輪軸42と、スプライン溝421と嵌まり合うスプライン441が形成され且つ後輪軸42との間で回転力の授受がある第2ギア44と、後輪軸42に取り付けられた第2ギア44を右方向に付勢する弾性部材51と、を含む。スプライン溝421,441の傾斜は、後輪11Rが鞍乗型電動車両10を前進させる方向に回転している場合において、後輪11Rの回転速度が減少するのに対し、第2ギア44が回転速度を維持しようとするとき、左方向に第2ギア44を移動させる傾斜である。【選択図】図4
