PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack guide mechanism which can suppress uncomfortable vibration and noise, and uneven wear by suppressing an inclination of a rack guide.SOLUTION: A rack guide mechanism 10 comprises: a housing 11 in which a rack guide hole 12 is formed; a rack guide 13 which is slidably accommodated in the rack guide accommodation hole 12, and presses a rack shaft 6 toward a pinion shaft 4c; and an elastic member 15 which energizes the rack guide 13 to the rack shaft 6. A tolerance ring 18 which extends to an axial line O2 direction of the rack guide 13, and in which a plurality of protrusions 19 are formed in a circumferential direction is arranged between an external peripheral part 13a of the rack guide 13 and an internal peripheral part 12a of the rack guide accommodation hole 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
