PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle position detection system that can properly detect a position of a subject vehicle even in a place where errors leaning in a specific direction are caused in GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) information.SOLUTION: A subject-vehicle position of a vehicle is detected based on an output value of a vehicle speed sensor capable of detecting a speed of the vehicle and an output value of an azimuth sensor capable of detecting an azimuth of the vehicle. GNSS information is also acquired based on a signal transmitted from a navigation satellite. The subject-vehicle position is then corrected based on results obtained from the GNSS information acquired plural times. Such a correction of the subject-vehicle position as the above is executed in a case where the vehicle moves for a predetermined distance or more from a place at the last correction (time of correction of subject-vehicle position).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】特定の方向に偏る誤差がGNSS情報に生じる場所においても、自車位置を適切に検出する。【解決手段】車両の速度を検出可能な車速センサーの出力値と、車両の方位を検出可能な方位センサーの出力値とに基づいて、車両の自車位置を検出する。また、航法衛星から送信される信号に基づいてGNSS情報を取得する。そして、GNSS情報を複数回取得した結果に基づいて自車位置を補正する。このような自車位置の補正は、前回の補正時(自車位置の補正時)から車両が所定の距離以上移動している場合に行われる。【選択図】図1
