A light distribution control device (6) is provided with: a vehicle detection unit (14) that detects a preceding vehicle by analyzing an image obtained from an imaging device (4) that captures an image of a region ahead of the vehicle; a region determination unit (16) that determines a processing target region in which a predetermined margin is added in the vehicle width direction to the presence region of the preceding vehicle; and a pattern determination unit (18) that, in parallel with the detection of the preceding vehicle by the vehicle detection unit (14), determines a light-blocking section in an image obtained from the imaging device (4) on the basis of pixel values of pairs of light spots arranged in the vehicle width direction included in the processing target region, and determines a light distribution pattern (PTN) including the light-blocking section.
