PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attitude control device and an attitude control method for a suspended cargo, which are enabled to adjust a revolving force to act on a suspending balance finely, by using a thrust generator for generating a jet flow.SOLUTION: An attitude control device 1A comprises: a suspending balance 4; jet engine groups 5 and 6 for producing a jet flow; and turntables 7 and 8 for making the angles of the jet engine groups 5 and 6 for the suspending balance 4 variable in a horizontal plane thereby to support the jet engine groups 5 and 6 at the end part of the suspending balance 4. The directions of the jet engine groups 5 and 6 are changed in a horizontal plane so that a turning force to be applied to the suspending balance 4 is adjusted to control the attitude of a suspended cargo 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
