PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing member that has collision energy absorbing function regardless of the input direction of collision load during collision even if a super-high tensile steel plate with a tensile strength of 980 MPa or greater is used as a material and that is able to be stably bent in an N-shape in a plane view.SOLUTION: A shock absorbing member comprises a press molded body made of high tensile steel plate with a tensile strength of 980 MPa or greater, and absorbs collision load applied in an axial direction. The press molded body has: a top plate 11 having two first ridge lines 12-1a and 12-1b; two second ridge lines 12-2a and 12-2b; two vertical walls 13a and 13b; two recessed ridge lines 14a and 14b; and two outward flanges 15a and 15b. Recessed parts 16 and 17 reaching the vertical walls 13a and 13b from the second ridge lines 12-2a and 12-2b and substantially orthogonal to an axial line are provided in at least two places separated in the respective axial directions of the two vertical walls 13a and 13b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】引張強度が980MPa以上の超高張力鋼板を素材としても、衝突時の衝撃荷重の入力方向によらずに衝突エネルギー吸収性能を有し、平面視でN字状の曲げ変形を安定して発生できる衝撃吸収部材を提供する。【解決手段】引張強度が980MPa以上の高張力鋼板のプレス成形体を備え、軸方向に負荷される衝撃荷重を吸収する衝撃吸収部材である。プレス成形体は、二つの第1の稜線12-1a,12-1bを有する天板11と、二つの第2の稜線12-2a,12-2bと、二つの縦壁13a,13bと、二つの凹稜線14a,14bと、二つの外向きフランジ15a,15bとを有し、第2の稜線12-2a,12-2bから縦壁13a,13bに達するとともに軸方向に略直交する凹部16,17を、二つの縦壁13a,13bそれぞれの軸方向について離れた少なくとも2か所に、備える。【選択図】図1
