PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of accurately and stably estimating wear amount of a tire on a snow road surface.SOLUTION: A differential degree waveform of a tire radial direction acceleration waveform is determined. An operation for calculating a differential peak value on a step-in end side and a differential peak value on a kicking-out end side from the differential degree waveform is repeated multiple times. A differential peak ratio to be a ratio of the differential peak value on the step-in end side to the differential peak value on the kicking-out end side is calculated for each of the obtained step-in end side differential peak value and kicking-out end side differential peak value. One differential peak value of the step-in side differential peak value and the kicking-out side differential peak value which are in the range of a lower limit value 0.6 to 0.8 and an upper limit value 1.0 to 1.2 in the differential peak ratio or an operation value of the step-in side differential peak value and the kicking-out side differential peak value is extracted as a differential peak value for wear estimation.     【課題】雪上路面においても、タイヤの摩耗量を精度よくかつ安定して推定できる方法とその装置を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤ径方向加速度波形の微分度波形を求め、この微分度波形から踏み込み端側の微分ピーク値と蹴り出し端側の微分ピーク値とを算出する操作を複数回繰り返すとともに、得られた踏み込み端側の微分ピーク値と蹴り出し端側の微分ピーク値のそれぞれについて、踏み込み端側の微分ピーク値と蹴り出し端側の微分ピーク値との比である微分ピーク比を算出し、微分ピーク比の下限値が0.6〜0.8で上限値が1.0〜1.2の範囲にある前記踏み込み側微分ピーク値と蹴り出し側微分ピーク値のうちの一方の微分ピーク値もしくは踏み込み側微分ピーク値と蹴り出し側微分ピーク値との演算値を摩耗推定用微分ピーク値として抽出し、抽出された複数の摩耗推定用微分ピーク値を用いて当該タイヤの摩耗量を推定するようにした。【選択図】図15
